Our epoxy resin-cast voltage transformers utilize Huntsman's internationally acclaimed Araldite®  epoxy resin, and outdoor models are crafted with UV-resistant cycloaliphatic epoxy resin to ensure unwavering quality. 

Units can be manufactured to IEC, IEEE, and other international standards, with customization, outdoor variants, and ODM/OEM services available on request.

Single-Pole Voltage Transformers, or Three-Phase VT (PT) + GVT (GPT)

EPF-10CE, EPF-20SK, EPF-20SL, EPF-20SNE, EPF-20DZE, EPF-30DE

Single-pole voltage transformers in this indoor medium-voltage range are epoxy-resin-cast units designed for 12 kV, 24 kV, and 36 kV power systems. Also referred to as potential transformers (PTs), these instrument transformers are molded in Araldite® epoxy resin and are self-extinguishing, providing reliable insulation performance and moisture resistance in switchgear applications. They operate with measuring and monitoring instruments for power system analysis and supervision or in conjunction with protective relays to support system safety and operational reliability.

  • Models EPF-20SL, EPF-20SNE, and EPF-20DZE are available with single-voltage or dual-voltage primary ratings. 
  • EPF-20SL and EPF-30DE only:  (Option) Elbow-type connector and tubular epoxy housing with a built-in primary fuse 
  • GVT (GPT) Functionality: Connect three voltage transformers (potential transformers) from this series through a Y-Y-open connection for the combined functionality of a three-phase VT (PT) and a grounding voltage transformer (grounding potential transformer) (i.e. 3Φ VT + GVT, or 3Φ PT + GPT). 
  • For models EPF-20SL and EPF-20SNE, optional primary-side accessories include an elbow-type connector and a tubular epoxy housing with a built-in primary fuse. This configuration enhances operational safety, simplifies maintenance, and supports more compact switchgear panel design.


    Certain models offer a rated thermal burden of 1000 VA or higher, enabling them to function not only as voltage transformers but also as a power source for circuit breaker operation in medium-voltage switchgear systems.

    VPF Series

    Outdoor voltage transformers in the VPF Series are medium-voltage potential transformers designed to be part of a MOF (Metering Outfit) for revenue metering. Insulated with Araldite® UV-resistant cycloaliphatic epoxy resin, these 15.5–36.5 kV outdoor instrument transformers can withstand long-term exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation, salt fog, high temperature, high humidity, as well as other harsh environmental conditions.

    EPF-30SA, EPF-30SB

    The EPF-30SA and EPF-30SB indoor-use voltage transformers (potential transformers), designed for a 36kV (max.) power system and insulated with Araldite® epoxy resin, have a high insulation level and superior moisture resistance. In addition, they have passed type testing and environmental testing according to IEC standards and can perform under the temperature condition of -45℃~+65℃.


    The EPF-30SA and EPF-30SB medium-voltage voltage transformers (potential transformers) have been a preferred choice of major corporations of numerous countries.

    EPF-30SE

    Designed for the switchgear panels of a 36 kV (max.) power system, this single-pole indoor-use voltage transformer (potential transformer) is cast in Araldite® epoxy resin and covered with an aluminum box. The grounded aluminum box for shielding reduces the necessary distance between the voltage transformer and the panels (or other equipment). This epoxy-cast voltage transformer is characterized by excellent moisture resistance, superior electrical performance, and great reliability.
