Pro-Lite offers indoor and outdoor voltage transformers (VT) suitable for metering, monitoring, and protection applications across low and medium-voltage systems. Our VT range is backed by over 50 years of R&D and manufacturing experience, incorporating technology developed in Germany. Indoor models use Huntsman Araldite® epoxy resin insulation, and outdoor units use UV-resistant cycloaliphatic epoxy for long-term environmental durability.


Every unit is type-tested and routine-tested through a TAF accredited laboratory, with a wide range of accuracy classes, insulation levels, and custom configurations to suit specific project requirements, with ODM/OEM options available to tailor to your needs.

What is a Voltage Transformer?

Voltage transformers (VTs), also known as potential transformers (PTs), step down high AC voltages to a standardized secondary output — typically 100V or 110V per IEC/IEEE standards — for safe use in metering, monitoring, and relay protection. Together with current transformers (CT), they are collectively known as "instrument transformers." Voltage transformers usually consist of an iron core, a primary winding, and one or two secondary windings; the primary winding connects in parallel to the AC circuit, with secondary windings feeding connected instruments through relays. VTs are classified by voltage level, installation environment (indoor or outdoor), and function (metering or protection).
